笼统说，这两句 to 都表示“方向”；具体而言，前者指 “针对性”；后者指 “目的地”。
第3句，if 引导名词性从句时，除去可以代替 whether 引导宾语从句，当主语从句后置时，也可以用if 引导。
if 也有“是不是”的意思，它主要用来引导宾语从句。比如：I wonder whether/if the conclusion is true. 它引导主语从句时，不可以放在句首。比如，大家不能说：If the conclusion is true hasn’t beenproved.
但若用 it 作形式主语，则可以用if 引导主语从句，比如：It hasn’t been proved whether/if the conclusion istrue.
