近日，广州媒体卧底揭秘麦当劳、肯德基等洋速食餐厅违规用工，其钟点工的薪资低于非全日制职工最低小时薪资标准。除此之外，洋速食连锁店还被指控犯有不为兼职工缴纳工伤保险、故意延长兼职工试用期等六宗罪。

报道中的probationary period就是求职者需要历程的试用期，也可写做probation3 period、probationary employment period或trial period。
Probation在此指（以观后效的）查询，也可和介词on连用，表示在试用期，如：We'll have to take you on one month's probation first（大家得先试用你一个月）；He is a mechanic on probation（他是个见习机械工）。
除此之外，probation常用来指缓刑，如：three years' probation under suspended sentence of one year's imprisonment5（一年有期徒刑缓刑三年）。
