while从句动态动词一般为进行时
但也有用一般时的句子
Can you wait for me while I make a call?
Can you hold my bag while I try on this jacket?
甚至在《grammar in use》里还有Alex read a book while I watched TV.如此的例句

注意两点：
主从句都是指“以后”动作。while 里面的动作目前未发生。
主从句两个谓语动词都是“延续性动词”时，while 从句的动词用一般体，可以表示两个动作在同时进行。（这是重点缘由）
比如：
They bandied the ball from player to player while they waited the game to start.
在等比赛开始的时候，他们把球在队员之间来回传递。
I sat on the settee to unwrap the package while he stood by
我坐在长椅上打开包裹时他就站在旁边。
